You know those nights (or days) that making something to eat seems like a daunting task, and you really want to chow down on a savory, warm meal? I got you. By I got you, I mean this 10 Minute Naan Pizza has got you.
The only real prep for this is making sure you have a few essential inexpensive ingredients in your pantry to build from, like pizza sauce and naan.
Side note: you might be wondering in the back of your mind, “does she mean naan bread?”.
Yes and no.
It’s naan, y’all. Just naan. By saying “naan bread” you’re redundantly saying “bread bread” because naan is the Hindi word for bread.
Now that we have the vernacular down let’s chat about where to find this savory flatbread. My personal favorite for ease is Trader Joe’s or an Indian grocery store, but if you check the freezer section at most grocery stores you may be surprised what you find.
The other alternative is that you’re an amazing human being who knows how to quickly whip up naan at home, in which case you probably aren’t looking for 10-minute recipes to begin with.
*If this is you please send me the naan recipe*
This pizza is a perfect personal size in my opinion and is the perfect opportunity to use veggies that are near their expiration in your pantry and frig. A good rule of thumb when deciding what to throw on is whether or not you would eat it on a pizza at a restaurant (probably no carrots or avocados, sorry/not sorry).
Print10 Minute Naan Pizza
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 1 1x
Description
This little pizza packs a savory punch and is the perfect easy meal when you're limited on time and or motivation.
Ingredients
- 1 naan
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce or your favorite marinara (I've used Trader Joe's brand lately and it's tasty)
- 1 small heirloom tomato (sliced into thin slices)
- 2 tbsp fresh basil (roughly chopped (or more of you like it))
- 1 small red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup baby spinach (roughly chopped)
- non-dairy parmesan cheese (my personal favorite is to either make my own or use Violife, because it actually melts and has added B12. If you do dairy, go for a shredded vs. finely grated parmesan.)
- 1 pinch nutritional yeast (optional, but gives an extra savory flavor)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450. Gather all of the ingredients that you need and prep the produce in whatever way you need (slicing tomatoes, chopping basil). Prepare a pizza pan or baking sheet.
- Place one whole piece of naan on the pan, spread a thin layer of pizza sauce, follow with garlic powder, tomatoes, basil, spinach, red onion, nutritional yeast (if using), and cheese. Add any extra spices that strike your fancy (for me sometimes it's red pepper flakes, sometimes it's nothing).
- Place the naan in the oven and bake for around 6 minutes, or until it's beginning to get crispy and brown. Switch the oven over to a "broil" setting and broil for 2 minutes, or until it's fully golden brown and melty. Remove from the oven and cut into slices before enjoying by itself, with a huge salad, or your favorite cozy soup.

I remember pitching this to my husband and he said, “Can we just do regular pizza rather than naan?” After trying it, he now requests it weekly. Our family loves this recipe! It’s crazy easy, incredibly delicious, and perfect for those nights where you just don’t want to spend that much time prepping and cooking. I am also blown away by how much I love naan?! Thanks for introducing us to it, and this recipe, Mb!
Thanks so much for this comment, Megan. I’m thrilled to read it, and so glad that this has become a staple for you and your sweet family – that’s the ultimate compliment.
